LG L96g Optimus Ultimate Review

The LG L96g for Straight Talk is one of the most complete phones being offered. The phone runs on Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0 and has both a front facing web camera and a 5 megapixel standard rear camera. Offering a 1 GHZ processor and 1 GB on board memory, the LG L96g Optimus Ultimate is by far the best option from Straight Talk for the real Android enthusiasts. The impressive 4.3 inch screen is larger than most Androids including the latest iPhone 5. The battery life on the handset is really good for a smart phone with this kind of power and large screen. During light testing the battery went two days without charging with normal use. (Email sync, work email sync, and light web browsing).

The built in speaker is loud and clear which is great for sharing YouTube videos or just using the speakerphone while on the road or for conference calls. The phone fits comfortably in your hand despite its larger size and since the Optimus Ultimate has a textured back, you will notice the grip is much easier too. A nice feature found on the phone is the QuickMemo option. If you pull down the notification bar, you will find the QuickMemo option along side the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS switches. Quickmemo is nice for writing quick notes and they come in handy for reminders or day to day tasks or appointments.

The L96 is organized in a convenient way with its tabbed menu. Tabs separate all apps, downloaded apps, and widgets.
