Straight Talk Pledges a Million to Make a Wish

Straight Talk Wireless began a campaign to donate a million dollars to the Make A Wish foundation through a collaboration with Walmart called "One Minute, One Million". The nationwide effort is a way for Straight Talk and Walmart to give back through this wonderful charity while promoting the Straight Talk brand and the no contract pay-as-you-go model. Over four consecutive Saturdays starting Sept 22 through October 13th, during designated times, Walmart customers can visit a section of the store to view a one minute presentation that will then trigger a $1 donation to Make A Wish up to one million dollars.

F.J. Pollak, president and CEO, TracFone Wireless Inc., the parent company of Straight Talk Wireless, said: “Straight Talk Wireless offers cell phone users contract-free unlimited everything service on the nation’s four leading wireless networks for just $45 a month. With Straight Talk, you can get the same phones, same networks, for half the cost. Today, Straight Talk Wireless is helping our customers ‘feel richer’ in a different way by giving them an opportunity to enrich their communities and the lives of the families and children in them. We look forward to making a difference locally.”

This is a great opportunity to both learn about new phones from Straight Talk and help a good cause like the Make A Wish foundation which has been granting wishes to kids with life threatening conditions since 1980. The first wish was given to Christopher James who wanted to become a police officer. You can learn more about Make a Wish at Wish.Org
